Don’t Push, Pull Me In

The old American Marketing Association (AMA) definition is of marketing is “a process for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging ideas, goods and services, establishing their prices, promotion, and distribution, to satisfy the goals of customers, clients, partners, and society at large” – pre-2017 – still pushing out the message

Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. (Approved 2017)[1] – getting better but still pushing out the message.

Both definitions leave out the most part – the pulling connection and emotions between customers to the goods/services.
