All employees need to acquire new skills to “create value digitally.” Our DX strategy cannot be accomplished without a coherent HR strategy. Otherwise, it would be wishful thinking.
Reskilling is a new HR strategy for the DX era. Reskilling is the successful redevelopment of our employees’ core competencies at scale to create value while leveraging the power of digital technology. For us, it is simply not a realistic proposition to fire our staff who do not possess the requisite digital skills and replace them with digital personnel through external hires.
EHLAI’s DX will not succeed unless all employees acquire new value-creating skills. Conversely, unless this happens, there will inevitably be situations where jobs are lost when we introduce digital processes, machine learning, and robotics.
